How long does it take to charge a battery?

The charging time of a battery is determined by the capacity of the battery and the charger.

Example:

You have a 24V 100Ah battery that is completely discharged to 0%. You'll charge it with a 10A 24V charger, which provides a maximum output of 10A per hour. To calculate how long you need to charge, take the battery's total Ah and divide it by the charger's maximum output.

100Ah / 10A = 10 hours

If you use a more powerful charger with a higher power of 40A, the total charging time is:

100Ah / 40A = 2.5 hours
